On Wednesday 28th February, year 9 had the privilege of hearing a Holocaust Testimony from guest speaker Hedi Argent.
Year 9 listened to Hedi’s Testimony, learning about her own personal experience of Anschluss and Kristallnacht. Hedi also discussed her own personal experience of being a refugee in Britain and the challenges that her and her family faced.
Hedi’s advice for the next generation was to be kind, a message which is so important and relatable in today’s world. Hedi’s words will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced. We are grateful to the Holocaust Educational Trust for co-ordinating the visit and we hope that by hearing Hedi Argent’s testimony, it will encourage our students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives.
