At Ark Pioneer, My Child At School (MCAS) is our main communication platform between school and home. MCAS allows you to access important information about your child in one place, helping you to stay informed and support their success at school.
Through MCAS, you can quickly check:
- Behaviour points and recognition points
- Catch-up sessions and any outstanding catch-up work
- Attendance and punctuality
- Homework and assignments
- School reports, announcements and key communications
How to Access MCAS
- Download the My Child At School (MCAS) app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Log in using the details provided by the school. If you do not have these please contact your relevant Head of Year.
- The home screen will display the main information tiles available for your child.
Checking Behaviour Points
To view your child's behaviour record:
- Open the MCAS app.
- Select Behaviour from the main menu.
- Review positive recognition points and any behaviour points issued.
- Please note, you will only be able to view the behaviour category name.
What should I do if behaviour points appear?
- Discuss the incident with your child.
- Encourage reflection on what happened and how they can improve.
- Check for any linked catch-up session or action required.
- Refer to the school's Behaviour Policy for a full explanation of our systems and expectations.
- Check in with your child’s Form Tutor in the first instance to follow up with further details.
Checking Attendance
Good attendance is one of the strongest indicators of academic success.
To view attendance information:
- Open MCAS.
- Select Attendance.
- View your child's:
- Overall attendance percentage
- Individual absence records
- Punctuality information
If you notice any information that appears incorrect, please contact the school as soon as possible.
Checking Homework
To monitor homework:
- Open MCAS.
- Select Homework.
- Review:
- Current homework tasks
- Submission deadlines
- Completed and outstanding assignments
We encourage parents and carers to check homework regularly and discuss learning with their child.
