We were thrilled to start off our week with a visit from fabulous storyteller, Emily Grazebrook. Emily led a fantasy themed creative writing session for selected Year 8 and Year 9, focusing especially on structure and imagery.  The students were enthralled by Emily's passion, and thoroughly enjoyed discussing and writing their own stories. Angel in Year 8 said "It was really great - Emily led a fun session. I hope to experience something like this again", whilst Aaron in Year 9 said "I thought it was very cool because I don't usually get to do much story writing".

All new Year 7 students have been inducted into the library, and our lunchtime book clubs for Years 7, 8 and 9 are all up and running. We are starting off our year by reading Pirate Academy, The Final Year, and The Wizard of Earthsea. I look forward to much discussion and idea sharing over the coming weeks.
