On Wednesday the 6th of March our Year 7 pupils set out from Ark Pioneer and travelled into Central London to experience a full day of art and creativity at London's foremost institution for modern and contemporary art, Tate Modern.
Pupils were fascinated by the array of works on offer, from important works on canvas to challenging sculpture and atmospheric video installations. Working in individual booklets specially prepared for the day, pupils encountered and engaged with a diverse range of works carefully chosen to support their learning in art.
Behaviour was excellent throughout and several impressed members of the public who made positive comments about their conduct on the journey. All in all the trip was a resounding success and well worth the effort made by everyone involved.
