World Book Day Author Visit: Luke Palmer

To kick start our world book day celebrations, we were privileged to welcome award winning author, Luke Palmer, to Ark Pioneer.

Luke ran creative writing workshops, (or as he renamed them in fitting with his own style of writing, destructive writing workshops), with selected classes from years 7-9 throughout the day. The sessions were packed with energy, excitement and engagement from all students, who thoroughly enjoyed learning new techniques from a writing expert.

Special mention goes to year 8 book club, who designed and presented Luke with a poster of original writings and poetry, inspired by their reading of his book 'Play'.
