Across sprints, jumps, throws and middle‑distance events, students produced a fantastic set of performances, including multiple podium finishes and several event winners.

Mark — A strong showing in his first Barnet Championships appearance, competing with great effort and commitment throughout the day.
Year 8 – Boys
Oscar — 4th place in the 200m, showing excellent speed and competitive spirit.
Odunayo — 2nd place in the 200m, delivering a powerful run and superb finish.
Dennys — 1st place in the High Jump, clearing confidently to secure the top spot.
Dennys — 2nd place in the 1500m, demonstrating impressive endurance and pacing.
Sachin — 3rd place in the Discus, showing excellent technique in the throws events.
Year 8 – Girls
Noa — 3rd place in the Hurdles, navigating the race with great rhythm and control.
Year 9 – Boys
Sam John — 3rd place in the Discus, producing a strong series of throws.
Year 9 – Girls
Corneli — 1st place in the 200m, delivering a dominant sprint performance to take the gold.
Year 10 – Boys
Seyanu — 3rd place in the 100m, showing excellent acceleration out of the blocks.
Raphael — A committed run in the 400m, demonstrating strong pacing over the full lap.
Richmond — 1st place in the 100m, powering through the field with an outstanding winning sprint.
Year 10 – Girls
Leoni — 1st place in the 800m, running a superb tactical race with a strong finish.
Erykah — Double champion, winning both the 100m and 200m with exceptional speed and control.
Laureen — 2nd place in the 300m, showing great strength and consistency throughout the race.
This year’s Barnet Championships showcased the depth of talent across our school, with students demonstrating resilience, ambition and pride in representing their year groups. We are incredibly proud of every athlete who competed and contributed to a brilliant day of sport.
Year 8 Ark Athletics – Lee Valley Championships
Our Year 8 athletes enjoyed a brilliant day of competition at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, a world‑class venue that gave students an inspiring stage to perform on. The team produced a series of impressive performances across both track and field events.
Odunayo – 3rd in the Hurdles, showing excellent speed and control.
Dennys – 1st in the 1500m with a superbly paced run, and 1st in the High Jump, securing a dominant double victory.
Mario – 3rd in the 800m, running with great determination.
Jamie – 3rd in the 800m, delivering a strong and consistent performance.
Year 8 Girls’ Relay – 2nd place, with excellent teamwork and smooth changeovers.
