Over 50 Pupils from Year 7-11 performed brilliantly at our Spring Concert on the 2nd May, showcasing not only their talent, but the sheer amount of dedication and hard work that has taken place in the Music Department since September. The audience were treated to performances from no less than five Rock Bands, Concert Band, Brass and String Ensemble, Choir and many soloists and duets from beginner instrumentalists to accomplished GCSE musicians. The diversity of music showcased was wonderful to watch and listen to and the Music Department would like to congratulate all performers for their contribution.

In addition to the programme of musical performances, visitors were treated to a stunning display of Year 11 GCSE coursework and exam work, which was available to browse both before the concert and during the interval. The exhibition was held in the canteen where highlights of sketchbook work, sculptures and large-scale paintings were laid out for everyone to enjoy. The space was transformed with tables and standing boards, creating an engaging space that was fun to explore. This was a proud moment for teachers, parents and pupils who enjoyed discussing their work and reflecting on their journey as artists.
