We were excited to welcome our second year of founding pupils this morning for GCSE results day!
We are incredibly proud of Year 11 who have achieved outstanding GCSE results! From their starting point in 2020 pupils have progressed well above national expectations - putting them in a very strong position for Post 16 options, including at our brand-new Sixth Form which opened last September.
We have continued to build on our truly remarkable results. There were strengths in English Literature (90% attaining grade 4 or above), Maths (82% attaining grade 4 or above, 34% attaining grade 7 or above) and Science (82% attaining grade 4 or above and 100% attaining 5+ in Triple Science). There were also strong performances in French, RE, computer science, history and geography. 78% of year 11 achieved grades 9-4 in English and maths with 24% attaining a grade 7 or above in both.
Livia Milicevic, the school’s high-performing pupil, who earned nine grade 9s and one grade 7, said: “If you trust yourself and work hard anything is possible.”
Individual successes included:
•Niyati Pithadia, who received 8 grade 9s in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, French and Further Maths as well as two grade 8s in Art and English Language! Niyati said “I’m really happy with my results and it makes all the hard work I’ve put in worth it. I wouldn’t be able to achieve what I have done without the support of Ark Pioneer.”
•Bella Chun, who received 8 grade 9s across Chinese, Further Maths, Music, all three triple sciences, maths and English Literature, with grade 8s in French and geography! Bella said, "in the end it’s all been worth it”.
•Rayan Zebda, Tyra Oshunbiyi, Jood Saleh and Yani Shah who each received 7 grade 9s. Rayan said that “If you work hard it’ll always turn out well,” Tyra - “with hard work and diligence you could always get what you want to achieve,” Jood - “Have faith in yourself and trust your abilities and you’ll do the best you can” and Yani - “I’m so happy with my results and it shows that hard work pays off!.”
These results come on the back of our first year of successful GCSE results 2024. Double the national average of pupils gained 4+ in the English Baccalaureate range of subjects, with strengths in English Literature (91% attaining grade 4 or above) and French (88% attaining grade 4 or above). It was also the year the school received its first Ofsted inspection. Ark Pioneer was rated outstanding in all areas, with inspectors stating, ‘This is an exceptional school where pupils flourish.’
Su Reddy, Principal said: “These results are testament to staff and pupils’ dedication and hard work. At Ark Pioneer Academy we are committed to supporting every pupil becoming successful, knowledgeable and articulate individuals. These outcomes secured by our Year 11 ensure they can open the next door in their career and secure real options for themselves, whether that be post 16, apprenticeship or employment. I could not be prouder of them”.
