42 lucky pupils took to the snow this half term, on a week long ski trip to Gerlitzen, in Austria.
Pupils travelled by coach and ferry to Austria on Friday 10th February and were able to experience 5 days on the slopes.
Pupils had 5 days of ski instruction with local Austrian ski instructors. Having arrived as a group of mainly beginners – pupils did fanatically well at mastering the snow plough, stopping and turning. Lots of pupils finished the week navigating down the mountain on red and black slopes.
This incredible opportunity will be an annual trip – Mr Burton, Assistant Principal said ‘Pupils have been so impressive this week. Lots of excited, exhausted and happy pupils after days in the snow. We’re very pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to the Ark Pioneer community’.
Mr Burton will be advertising next years ski trip very soon – where pupils will have the chance to go to Saalburg – Austria.
