We were thrilled to hear about Alex M's (Year 9) incredible experience performing with the National Youth Choir at the Royal Albert Hall!
Year 9's Alex M was one of the pupils selected by Ark Pioneer to audition for the National Youth Choir. After being selected he took the opportunity to take part in a residential, culminating in a preformance at the Royal Albert Hall. He had this to say about his experience:
"When I went to the National Youth Choir GB, we were sectioned of into different groups according to our voice. These were Soprano Alto, Tenor, and Bass. Soprano being the highest and Bass being the lowest. In these groups we learnt a selection of songs that we would sing in the Royal Alber Hall. This was an amazing experience because I got to make new friends from all around the UK. The part that I enjoyed to most was when we had a session about the vocal cords, and we got to see how it worked. Overall, this was an amazing experience that I will look back to for the rest of my life.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be part of the National Youth Choir Great Britain. The past 5 days of me being in it has been so fun and an amazing experience! I just want to say how grateful I am for this amazing opportunity!"
