The quality and variety of entries for this competition has been astounding. Students in across almost all year-groups have contributed work in an exciting range of media and styles. The work references important and powerful moments, ideas and artists that are relevant to the message of Black History Month.
This competition shows that students and staff at Ark Pioneer are clearly passionate about building a fairer and more inclusive future and this is something we should be genuinely proud of as a school.

Trigger Warning
The winning entry this year contains a symbol which has been used in the past by far-right, extremist and fascist groups. We have not censored the work as we believe it is an expression of frustration and a comment on tragic cases such as George Floyd's, which most people will be able to view with maturity and integrity.
1st Place
