Our Air Quality and Design Technology pupils in Year 10 visited TEDI (The Engineering and Design Institute) in London, Canada Water. Pupils learnt all about the engineering industry and how this specialised university supports their students in engineering.
Pupils were tasked with researching and designing a face mask that is more accessible for the BAME community, people with head scarves and women. Working in teams they then pitched to the rest of the group and prizes were won for the most creative, most sustainable and best engineered solution.
During this visit pupils learnt how to design and prototype, communicate, present, reflect and work as a team. It was a great day for all.
