Congratulations to Ellie Rennock Smith in Year 11 who has been awarded yet another commendation in the Stephen Spender translation competition after narrowly missing out on a prize in the French category.
Competition is fierce every year but the organisers said that that the standard was particularly high this year with many strong entries from young translators and linguists from schools all over the UK. This is a fantastic achievement for Ellie and her third year in a row for receiving a commendation for her creative translation work.
