On 9th December we were delighted to welcome Councillor Zahra Beg who represents the Underhill ward for her first visit to Ark Pioneer. Councillor Beg enjoyed a tour with Pupil Council representatives to learn about our school vision, values and journey so far. She spoke to pupils about the privilege of ‘taking office and representing others –and implored them to think further about taking on leadership in life beyond school.
Councillor Beg said ‘Such happy children—everywhere across the school. And wonderful facilities—we are lucky’. We look forward to working with Councillor Beg to host drop-in surgeries for local residents in the new year.
