4 of our Year 10's got to experience a taster of university level Chemistry research and careers on Wednesday.
Our pupils travelled to the University of Bristol where they successfully produced Aspirin in a university level laboratory, which is an experiment that first year university students carry out! They also enjoyed hearing about world leading research and teaching at the university.
Our pupils 'really enjoyed' making aspirirn, asked insightful questions and were able to correctly identify the formula for glucose! Mr Aristotelous, Science Teacher noted that they all did exceptionally well and that they are all now capable of carrying out university level experiments, well done!
