Last week 27 of our keenest Art students from Year 9 ventured into Central London to visit the acclaimed William Kentridge exhibition at the Royal Academy. Upon arrival they were struck immediately by the grandeur of the Academy's impressive classical facade. After a few photos of the group, students began to explore the show, taking in room after room of technically brilliant drawings, sculptures and projected animations. With sketchbooks in hand our students moved thoughtfully through the show, taking in the films and sketching with energy in almost every room. As expected, they behaved admirably and the trip ran very smoothly.
