At Ark Pioneer, we ensure pupils know next steps to develop their passions and interests for our enrichments beyond school life.

Here are some of the ways in which we encourage pupils to explore their passions, talents and interested beyond enrichment.

Academic

Maths Circles: Online enrichment groups & weekly maths problem 

Visit the Science Museum

Visit the Natural History Museum 

Art & DT

Visit a wealth of Art galleries in London 

Our favourites are the National Gallery, the Tate and the Tate Modern, all free of charge 

If you love DT, explore the V & A Design Museum & the locally the RAF museum in Colindale

Computing

Y10, compete in the Ark Hack in the autumn term 

Leadership

Participate in the Barnet Youth Parliament

Middlesex & NW London Army Cadets 

Join the Middlesex And North West London Army Cadets

Be a Cadet with the Volunteer Police Cadets 

Oracy

Virtual workshops available (we subsidise for any FSM pupils) with Debate Mate

Barnet Youth events including theatre and music options

Performing Arts

Take up learning an instrument: Speak to Mr Monk – we subsidise the cost & there are loads of great ensembles to take part – strings ensemble, concert band, rock bands, network orchestra, network choir and our own choir! 

Audition for the National Youth Choir with our music team: National Youth Choirs GB

Opportunities to be involved in Independent Film Projects, such as Holocaust Memorial Film Project 

Y10 take part in the  Old Vic Schools club project 

Audition for the National Youth Theatre 

Sports & fitness

School Sports Teams – Join football, basketball, netball, handball, badminton, athletics, cricket after school & compete at LA & Ark  network level
