Ark Pioneer Academy has teamed up with Place2Be, a national charity supporting schools to improve the confidence and wellbeing of children and young people.
What does Place2Be do?
Some young people feel particularly anxious, sad, confused, worry or angry. This can impact their behaviour, their self-esteem and their academic achievements. Place2Be is there to help young people support their well-being and find ways to manage them so it does not get in the way of their friendships, learning, or how they feel about themselves.
Place2Be provide young people with positive resources to understand, explore and cope with emotions caused by challenging circumstances.
Place2Be’s professionals offer young people one-to-one sessions, small groups interventions and Place2Talk - self-referral appointments to talk about any problems or worries they have.
How does Place2Be work with adults?
Place2Be also provides support and advice for parents/carers, teachers, and school staff to focus on the young people’s needs.
Who are the staff supporting the Place2Be provision at Ark Pioneer?
Yasmin Gal, Place2Be School Project Manager, is at school every Monday. We expect this provision to increase from the Summer Term onwards to support more pupils.
For more information, please contact Yasmin on firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to your child's Form Tutor.
