Our Library - Introduction

Our Library is a vibrant and welcoming space for our pupils.

We welcome pupils to use this space to rowse, read, complete work with peers including on our suite of computers and of course to get support on reading, homework and revision.

Pupils can use the space at break or lunch every day and support runs during tutor time, lessons and after school with the support of staff in English and PUpil Support.  

 

Our Collection

The library collection continues to grow and includes both physical and digital resources to help support pupils with their learning.

  • Graded readers for pupils new to English
  • Graphic novels
  • Manga
  • Plays
  • Poetry
  • Textbooks and Revision Guides

We stock a wide range of fiction, which continues to grow. As a school, we wish to encourage all our pupils to read for pleasure. Research has clearly demonstrated the strong academic and developmental advantages of recreational reading. The library team are keen to find all our pupils something that they will enjoy.
