Isolation Work

Sharing resources for remote learning
On the first day of a pupil's isolation, their Head of Year will email both their parents & the pupil themselves with details of the remote learning to be completed. This will include a page of general instructions (shown below) as well as the table setting out the week's work for each subject (an example of this is shown below also. Parents/pupils should email their Head of Year with any questions about the work.
General Instructions

1. Your child should go to the following website: https://arkschools.sharepoint.com/sites/spark
2. They will need to enter their school email address to proceed
3. They should select their year group
4. They should select each subject in turn and complete the work using the instructions set out in the table below
5. Work should be completed in their subject exercise books and if they don't have it, on lined paper
6. Pupils should bring in all completed work on their first day back in school and give it to their subject teacher
Other Resources
1. Any other resources required are attached to the email sent by the Head of Year
2. Your child should open the website or attachment for each subject in turn and complete the work using the instructions set out in the table with each subject listed
3. Work should be completed in their subject exercise books and if they don't have it, on lined paper (note - all pupils have been issued a spare exercise book to keep at home for remote learning)
4. Pupils should bring in all completed work on their first day back in school and give it to their subject teachers
Reading
1. It is incredibly important to read every day for at least a half an hour. If pupils do not have a challenging reading novel at home, they should try free online versions, for example: https://freekidsbooks.org/age-group/stories-for-age-10-13/
