Ark Pioneer Academy competed on Thursday 7th November at a Year 7 Girls Indoor Athletics competition. Mr Burton and Ms Pick took two teams of year 7 pupils to Queens Elizabeth’s Girls School, to compete against 7 other schools from the Barnet Schools Sport Partnership.

The pupils all competed individually in indoor field and track events, as well as taking part in different relay races. All pupils performed very well and represented the school fantastically. With very little preparation time, the pupils showed the natural athletic talent we have at Ark Pioneer Academy.

Both teams competed very well, but extra praise goes to Team 1, who won a sliver medal, coming 2nd out of 9 teams. They showed what can be achieved when we aim high and show a winning mentality. Having bought back Ark Pioneer’s first silverware, we are extremely excited to build on this success.

On Thursday 21st November, the year 7 boys will have a chance to emulate the success of the girls.
