Pupil Council Elections

Thursday 30 September 2021

Pupils in Ark Pioneer cast their votes today on would represent their form in this year’s Academy Council.

All prospective candidates made speeches earlier this week to share their objectives and vision, should they be elected as representatives of the Academy Council. Anthony, a candidate in 9 Lawrence said: ‘If people vote for me I know I will make Lawrence a better form’.

Gracie from 7 Singh said, ‘I feel honoured to take part in the Academy Council elections. I’m proud that I had the confidence to go for it and my friends are excited that they can give me feedback and ideas to make the school even better.’

Daniel from 7 Singh said, ‘It is a good experience to try out and see if I get in. It will be great for my future to have just tried.’

The top three went forward to the voting stage and there was much excitement and intrigue as pupils filled in and posted their individual ballots.

We look forward to hearing the results and seeing the new Council take up their role in representing the pupil body, leading on events and promoting pupil voice.
